Facts and Questions

What should I wear to my appointment?
You should wear loose, work-out type clothing (such as sweats or gym shorts) as well as shoes and socks that can easily be removed. Please avoid jeans, thick pants, or pants with a fly front.
How long should I expect my appointment to last?
Please plan that your first session will last about 1 hour and 15 minutes, with 15 minutes to cover paperwork about your medical/injury history. Subsequent sessions will last 1 hour.
Do you accept health insurance?
Make The Connection, LLC is an out-of-network provider. This means that you will need to satisfy your out-of-network deductible, (typically separate from your in-network deductible), before you could access your insurance. When going out-of-network you will be responsible for a larger percentage of the payment than with in-network options. Make The Connection will be happy to verify your insurance benefits prior to treatment. Make The Connection is a Medicare Provider.
What are your fees and payment options?
The discounted private pay rate is $125.00 for each session. Unfortunately, I do not accept credit cards; please, checks or cash only.
What should I expect or might I experience after my treatment?
Following your treatment you may be sore or tired, or you may feel just fine; each individual's experience is unique. MAT is a deep tissue treatment and, in some cases, can cause bruising.
How active can I be following my treatment?
Generally after the first session (or the first few sessions) you will want to take it easy; however, this will depend on your situation. You should plan on exercising prior to your MAT session and not after. As your condition and stability improves you may exercise anytime.
How many sessions will I need or should I expect to schedule?
The number of treatment sessions required to address your needs depends on your individual situation. At a minimum you should expect to commit to between 3 and 6 sessions. You will likely feel different even after the first session, but it usually takes a few sessions to determine the source of the dysfunction. Generally, the longer the problem has existed the longer it may take to resolve.
What are your hours?
I see patients Monday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
What is your cancellation Policy?
Make The Connection has a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your treatment session, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged full price.
